Μετά από το “Quantum of Folace” όπως είπε κι ένας φίλος είπα να δω ξανά το Casino Royale σήμερα ώστε να δω λίγο καλό Bond. Να δω λίγο από εκείνους τους υπέροχους διαλόγους. Και πάει κάπως έτσι…

Vesper walks up to Bond and seats herself across from him

Vesper: I’m the money.

Bond puts down his menu and regards her with an amused smile.

Bond: Every penny of it.

Vesper puts her business card on the table.

Vesper: The Treasury has agreed to stake you in the game.

Bond: ‘Vesper’? I hope you gave your parents hell for that.

Vesper takes menu from porter.

Vesper Thank you.(to the porter)
(To Bond)
Your boss must have some influence. I’ve never seen so go much go out the door so quickly.

Bond: Or so stylishly. May I ask where it is?

Vesper: Ten million was wired to your account in Montenegro, with a contingency for five million more, if I deem it a prudent investment. (As if curious) I suppose you’ve given some thought to the notion that if you lose, our government will have directly financed terrorism. (re:menu) What looks good?

Cut to exterior of train

Back to Vesper and Bond in dining car. Clear that they have just finished their meal. Bond fills Vespers wine glass

Vesper: Oh, so you’re telling me it’s a matter of probability and odds; I was worried there was some chance involved.

Bond: Only if one assumes that the person with the best hand always wins.

Vesper: So that would be what you call ‘bluffing’?

Bond: You know the term. Then you may have also heard that in poker you don’t play your hand, you play the man across from you.

Vesper: And you’re good at reading people.

Bond : Which is why I’ve been able to detect the undercurrent of sarcasm in your voice.

Vesper : I am now assured our money is in good hands.

Bond: from which one might surmise you aren’t overwhelmingly supportive of this plan of action.

Vesper: So there is a plan? Excellent. Somehow I got the impression we were risking ten million dollars and hundreds of people’s lives on a game of luck. What else can you surmise?

Bond: About you?….Well your beauty is a problem. You worry that you won’t be taken seriously….

Vesper: Which one can say of any attractive woman with half a brain.

Bond: Tue, but this one overcompensates by wearing slightly masculine clothing and being more aggressive than her female colleagues, which gives her a somewhat prickly demeanor and, ironically, makes her less likely to be accepted and promoted by her male superiors, who mistake her insecurity for arrogance. I would normally have said only child, but by the way you ignored the quip about your name and your parents I would go with orphan?

Vesper: All right….by the cut of your suit you went to Oxford or wherever and actually think human beings dress like that. But you wear it with such disdain, that my guess is you didn’t come from money and all your school chums rubbed that in your face every day, which means you were at that school by the grace of someone else’s charity, hence the chip on your shoulder. And since your first thought about me ran to orphan, that what I’d say you are. sees a slight reaction. Oh you are. And it makes sense since MI6 looks for maladjusted young men who’d give little thought to sacrificing others in others to protect queen and country. You know former SAS types with easy smiles and expensive watches. Rolex?

Bond: Omega.

Vesper: Beautiful. Now having just met you I wouldn’t g as far as calling you a cold hearted b-a-s-t-a-r-d.

Bond : Of course not.

Vesper: But it wouldn’t be a stretch to imagine that you think of women as disposable pleasures rather than meaningful pursuits, so as charming as you are, I will be keeping my eye on our government’s money and off your perfectly formed arse.

Bond: You noticed.
Vesper: Even accountants have imaginations. How was your lamb?

Bond: Skewered. One sympathizes.

Vesper rises to her feet and gathers her bag.

Vesper: Good evening Mr. Bond.

Bond: Good evening Miss Lynd.

Bond, Watches her leave, smiling.

Αυτή η συλλογή βρίσκεται στο ράφι εδώ και δύο ολόκληρα χρόνια όταν μια αναγνώστρια του blog μου ζήτησε μία latin συλλογή για την τότε εξεταστική. Κάτι να ακούει ενώ διαβάζει. Είπα ΟΚ! Έγινε. Αλλά από τότε… τίποτα. Αφενός δεν είμαι κάτοχος της latin μουσικής και επίσης δεν είχα αρκετά ακούσματα. Πως λοιπόν να φτιάξω ένα latin compilation με μηδέν υλικό?

Από τότε άκουσα κάποια latin τραγούδια. Βασική αφορμή η φίλη μου η Κατερίνα που ήταν λάτρης της λατινικής κουλτούρας. Κυρίως δε αυτής της Ισπανίας. Τόσο φανατική που να σκέφτεται να μετακομίσει στην εν λόγω χώρα.

Ένα χρόνο στην Αγγλία αντιλήφθηκα το χαμό και το hype του latin. Τουλάχιστον μία φορά την εβδομάδα υπήρχε latin party. Πηγαίναμε και χορεύαμε ως άλλοι πρωταγωνιστές του Dirty Dancing II. Ειδικά για μας τους έλληνες δεν ήταν τόσο δύσκολο να προσαρμοστούμε. If there is latin spirit in everyone πόσο μάλλον σε εμάς που είμαστε και μεσογιακοί. Ήταν της μόδας. Ταινίες με θέμα τους latin χορούς ξεπηδούσαν σχεδόν κάθε μήνα. Shall we dance, Take the lead etc.

Παιδιά από Ισπανία, Πορτογαλία, Βραζιλία, Μεξικό και Κολομβία όλοι μου έδωσαν και λίγο από τη μουσική τους αντίληψη. Ειδού λοιπόν το αποτέλεσμα.

Ειδού το trailer της δεύτερης απόπειρας του Daniel Craig ως James Bond με τίτλο Quantum of Solace, ή αλλιώς Casino Royal II. Η ταινία συνεχίζει εκεί που σταμάτησε το Casino Royal. Ο 007 προσπαθεί να βρει την αλήθεια πίσω από τη προδοσία της γυναίκας που αγαπούσε ακολουθώντας τα ίχνη που τον οδηγούν στη Χαΐτη. Η ταινία θα μας ταξιδέψει στην Αυστρία, την Ιταλία και τη Ν. Αμερική σε μία διαρκής μάχη του Bond να μη πάρει την υπόθεση “προσωπικά”. Προδοσία, δράση και όλα τα παρελκόμενα που συνοδεύουν τον 007. Auston Martin, gadgets, black tie, girl…

Η πρεμιέρα στην Ελλάδα θα γίνει στης 6 Νοεμβρίου που παρεπιπτόντως είναι και η μέρα που απολύομαι. Άρα, παίρνω το χαρτί πάω σε διπλανή αλάνα να κάψω τα στρατιωτικά και το βράδυ πάω να δω James Bond για εισαγωγή στη νύχτα κρεπάλλης που θα ακολουθήσει. Καλύτερα, γίνεται?

Πες τη όπως θες. Ο Tony Brewer, κριτικός, είπε για τη Nu Jazz: “Nu Jazz is to (traditional) Jazz what punk or grunge was to Rock. Αρκετοί από εσάς μου ζητάτε τα compilation σε mp3. Και με το δίκιο σας δηλαδή. Αλλιώς να ακούς και αλλιώς να διαβάζεις ένα tracklist. Να με συγχωρέσετε προς το παρόν αλλά πρόθεσή μου δεν είναι να μπλέξω με την πειρατεία. Κι εγώ χρήστης είμαι και όχι βαποράκι. Για όσα τραγούδια βρήκα τα αντίστοιχα videos στο YouTube σας έχω δώσει το link, ώστε να τα ακούσετε και αν σας αρέσουν να τα “βρείτε”, υποστηρίζοντας πάντα τους καλλιτέχνες και τις δισκογραφικές τους!!! Υπάρχουν άφθονα freeware προγραμματάκια για να κάνετε convert τον ήχο από το YouTube σε mp3. Google it και λίγο.

Σε πολλά διαφωνώ με τον Πέτρο αλλά το συγκεκριμένο του σχόλιο είναι μάλλον από τα πλέον εύστοχα. Λέω μάλλον γιατί κι εγώ ακόμα στην αναζήτηση είμαι. Το ψάχνω που λένε… Πράγμα που σημαίνει πως πρέπει να αναμένετε νέο mix cd εν ελθέτω χρόνο.

Μία συλλογή μόνο με διασκευές. Ξέρω πως πολύ αντιπαθούν τις διασκευές. Για μένα πάλι είναι ένας τρόπος να ανακαλύπτω τραγούδια που ήδη γνωρίζω ξανά. Ακούστε τραγούδια που σας άρεσαν μέσα από τα μάτια άλλων καλλιτεχνών. Καλή ακρόαση.

Ακούς λαϊκά και ντρέπεσαι να το παραδεχτείς από φόβο για το πως θα αντιδράσει το περιβάλλον σου? Τώρα υπάρχει μία γραμμή υποστήριξης και για εσένα.

Σαν σήμερα πριν από εφτά μήνες παρουσιάστηκα στο Κέντρο Εκπαίδευσης Τεχνικού στην Πάτρα. Εκεί έκατσα μέχρι τα μέσα του Δεκέμβρη. Με στείλαν για εκπαίδευση στον Πύργο Ηλείας όπου έγινα Τεχνίτης Ασυρμάτων Υψηλής Ισχύος. Μέσα Φεβρουαρίου παρουσιάστηκα σε μονάδα παραμεθωρίου στους Τοξότες Ξάνθης όπου βρίσκομαι μέχρι και σήμερα. Τέλος του μήνα θα πάρω ένα μήνα άδεια λόγω μετάθεσης. Μ’αυτά και μ’αυτά θα πιάσουμε Αύγουστο. Τότε θα είμαι δίπλα στο Πλατύ Ημαθείας και ευελπιστώ να έχω διανυκτέρευση στο σπιτάκι μου στη Θεσ/νίκη.

Αν με ψάξατε στο παρελθόν και δε ξέρατε που ήμουν, τώρα μάθατε. Κι αν με αναζητήσετε στο μέλλον θα ξέρετε που να με βρείτε.
